Overview of role

The Head of QA will define the test strategy and approach for all Lowe Profero web dev and mobile products, provide quality assurance leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring project quality. 
This individual must have a proven track record of success building, leading, and managing a functional and technical QA team with a strong sense of quality ownership and feature
advocation.
This is a hands-on job that requires strategic thinking and planning to provide leadership and expertise throughout the entire QA lifecycle, ensuring the success of the team's manual and automation efforts. The manager will provide regular direction, mentorship, and coaching to QA team members.

  • Hands on experience on JIRA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a high-level QA strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy
  • Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable QA processes and procedures to provide more effective quality methods within the group in support of providing quality products
  • Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies based on specification documents that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned web/mobile dev project to ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirement
  • Lead in setting and maintaining the high standards for Web/Mobile Quality Assurance test documentation
  • Plan, organise, and monitor the execution of the work assignments for the Quality Assurance Team
  • Be highly committed to create world class automation for regression and feature testing
  • Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasising defect prevention throughout the development process
  • Identify areas for test improvement through analysis, experience and use of metrics
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the Quality Assurance Team on "best practices"
  • Ensure that the project schedule is adhered to and the work is completed according to the schedule
  • Providing accurate estimates, tracking progress, and providing timely updates about project and release status
